I wanted to share a really cool Class 4 power solution that Panduit just introduced to the marketplace called Fault Managed Power.
Fault Managed Power System (FMPS) is a brand new, UL 1400-1 Standard compliant power solution that was invented by those forward thinking, “tech savvy” engineers at Panduit. It was initially introduced to power remote wireless applications where AC power is not readily available. I was told to think of it like a super safe, extended distance network extension cord that is super easy to install and has hot, swappable components that make it a breeze to design, install and manage.
Panduit’s FMPS solution is quickly finding a host of other applications within the Enterprise, Data Center and Factory Floor infrastructure space that powers devices including remote radios, small cells, security cameras, access controls, and indoor and outdoor Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS).
