In line with one of our core Values and Principles, Community, Kirby Risk recently concluded its second company-wide food drive, making a significant impact in the communities we serve. This initiative, held in honor of founder J. Kirby Risk, brought together the entire company and was a remarkable success.
All Kirby Risk locations participated in donating non-perishable items and hygiene products to their local food pantries. Over the course of the month-long food drive, our teams exceeded expectations once again. Notable contributions included:
- Our Bloomington, Indiana, branch donated five boxes of non-perishable items to Monroe County United Ministries.
- Our Lafayette, Indiana, branch (KRES) collected three full barrels of food for Lafayette Food Finders Food Bank.
- Our Decatur, Illinois, branch contributed 56 items to Catholic Charities.
- Our Mechanical Services and Solutions team donated over 200 items to St. Ann’s.
- Our Rensselaer, Indiana, branch donated 125 pounds of food and 20.5 pounds of hygiene products to Rensselaer Food Pantry.
- Our Fishers, Indiana, branch donated 50 pounds of items to Delaware Township Trustee’s Pantry.
- Our Marion, Indiana, branch collected four boxes of donations to the Salvation Army.
- Our Fort Wayne, Indiana, branch donated 2 drums of non-perishable items to Community Harvest Food Bank.
- Our Lima, Ohio, branch collected 1 pallet of donations to Veterans Food Pantry of Northwest Ohio.
- Our Service Center team donated 2,426 pounds of non-perishable items to Lafayette Food Finders Food Bank.
The food drive not only addressed the needs of our communities but also provided Kirby Risk employees with an opportunity to give back. It’s not just about collecting donations; it cultivates a strong sense of community as we rally together for a common purpose. With each passing year, our company initiatives continue to expand, encouraging everyone to make a positive impact. Together, we can Make It Happen!
