Appleton Unveils First-Ever Adjustable Jelly Jar LED Light for C1D2 Locations

Resembling an upside-down Mason jar, jelly jar lights have long been installed in barns, tunnels, and on building exteriors. Appleton is now introducing the first jelly jar LED luminaire for installation in C1D2 hazardous locations, compete with field-selectable lumen output and CRT settings.

Depending on the model, Appleton Glomaster LED luminaires are available with either 1000/2000 or 3500/5000 nominal lumens, and offer a CRT selection of 3000K/4000K/5000K. Changing settings in the field takes less than 60 seconds, reducing costs while helping achieve optimal lighting for safety and productivity. High precision optics, including 360° uplighting, ensure adequate light levels in stairwells, docks, walkways, exits, and emergency call stations, among other close proximity areas.

Appleton Glomaster LED luminaires offer the adaptability of wall, ceiling or pendant mounting on virtually any flat surface. Regardless of mounting position, an adjustable knuckle allows precise rotation in 10° increments from 0° to 90° to meet site needs. Luminaires can be further customized by optional colored globes, stainless steel globe guards, and visors.

The new luminaires are ruggedly built to endure prolonged exposure to extremely harsh environments, indoors or outdoors. Salt spray, high-pressure water jets, corrosive chemicals, and ambient temperatures from -40° F to 131° F are no match to the luminaire's cast copperfree aluminum construction, silicone rubber gaskets, stainless steel hardware, polycarbonate globe, and gray epoxy powder coat. Integrated 6KV surge protection safeguards the luminaires against the most prevalent types of power damage in industrial facilities.
