On November 12, Kirby Risk Service Center (KRSC) in Lafayette held a job fair in conjunction with staffing partners Express Employment Professionals and CFA Staffing, Inc. More than 57 potential employees attended the event. Service Center staff gave tours of the facility to show candidates the type of work being done at the facility. Onsite interviews were conducted with multiple candidates.
To welcome attendees, coffee, donuts and pizza were served. A balloon artist was on hand to entertain children while their parents/guardians went through the tour and application process.
As a result of the event, six persons were hired directly and approximately 25 persons were routed through the staffing agencies.
Due to the huge success of this event, another hiring event is scheduled for February 18 from 10am-3pm at the Service Center. There will be giveaways for candidates who apply. Watch Kirby Risk social media and local media for further information.
