Overview

The Kirby Risk Service Center is an ISO/TS 16949:2002 registered operation that manufactures wiring harnesses demonstrating value through: Speed and Scale, Durable Build and Fit, Validation and Quality, Service Beyond Manufacturing, Capabilities.

Speed and Scale

High volume efficient Komax Zeta wire machines fully loaded with wires at all times, automated termination stations, stamping and labeling of circuits, and capabilities up to 4/0. We produce thousands of circuits daily, and we build to thousands of engineering controlled harness form-board fixtures.


Durable build and fit

Expertise in "harness design-for-manufacture" where 2d and 3d preformed bends and cable rely on proper routing and breakout methods to maintain long in-use life.


Validation and Quality

Kirby Risk employs proprietary methods that are beyond compare in the industry for ensuring avoidance of common failure modes like pin/socket pull-out, and full functional test fixtures that are fully engineering revision controlled to customer specifications and drawings. Production is 100 percent tested and electronically tracked, and use of the latest drawings are leveraged in computerized visual aids to ensure conformance and best in class quality.


Service beyond manufacturing

The Kirby Risk Service Center partners with our customers for the “beginning-to-end” product life-cycle. We start with initial collaborative design, first piece builds, cost target alignment, and the OEM’s NPI requirements. Once in production, we are a valued team member for engineering change management, cost control, and ongoing OEM point-of-use delivery and support. Our dedicated service teams manage operations to the customer’s demand schedule to provide industry leading on-time-delivery.


Capabilities

The Kirby Risk Service Center provides fully automated wire processing from 22 gauge to 500 MCM, including cutting, terminating and stamping. We process many wire insulation types including GXL, SXL, TXL, PVC, Exane and Teflon. Additionally we provide over-molding, ultrasonic splicing, slave and master hot marking and a variety of quick change terminal applicator and hydraulic crimping.

Our wire harness coverings include standard and high temperature braiding, and hoses and tubes in a variety of diameters and shapes. We provide heat shrink labeling, 100 percent testing, simple and complex constructions, and low to high volume harness installation to control panels. We deliver customer specified packaging, point-of-use returnable containers, or crating and kitting for your convenience.
